I'm really grateful to have been appointed the 2014 Dr Gavin Wallace Fellow hosted by Moniack Mhor. All the information about the fellowship and my planned project is

Congratulations.... I've just emailed you about G.B. Edwards's 1975 visit to Shetland. The Guernsey author of The Book of Ebenezer le Page thought he'd prefer to die on Shetland rather than on his native island, leaving his fictional self to do so. I quote from his letters describing Shetland in Genius Friend and how he returned to Dorset with conflicted feelings.
