New Shop on Etsy

The 'Dominant Species' limpets are now available to buy in my Etsy shop.

These ceramic limpet sculptures come from my exhibition 'The Dominant Species' in the Shetland Museum and Archives. Shape, thickness and density vary as the limpets are all made by hand using a thumb-pot method. Each limpet comes with a rudimentary LED light. Contact me for images of individual limpets so you can handpick your colony of glowing marine gastropods. They're keen to colonise new territory!

That’s a great project! Those handmade limpets look so amazing, and they seem sturdy due to the ceramic materials they’re made of. Also, the LED light gives enough glow to emphasis its insides. Thank you for sharing that, Jen!

These are great looking, you are so creative! I love that they have LED lights and can be used as lamps. I could picture several of them in a room. Do they come in different sizes? This is a real innovative idea and I can't wait to see what you come up with next. I will have to consider some new innovative lighting.

This light looks very odd, but it also looks like something that would be ideal in any room of the home because of its simple design. I like how you can choose the color that you want. It looks like they would be perfect for putting outside to light up a pathway.
